Illumination Choreography & Mentorship Program​

The Illumination program is a personalized choreography mentorship and experience designed for dedicated dancers who are ready to learn about the choreography process. Designed for dancers who are advanced and have aspirations of becoming a choreographer. 

​

Students in this course will learn about choreography theories in a hybrid online/in-person format, using a college-level syllabus that includes readings, homework assignments, discussions, and more.

​

As part of this course, students will create their OWN choreography to be presented at a reception and work with industry leaders in virtual 1-1 mentorship calls. 

​

Over the course of the program, participants receive individualized feedback, industry insight, and guidance from experienced dance professionals in a supportive environment that encourages exploration, discipline, and authentic artistic growth.

Program Eligibility:

• Ages 14+, or with instructor approval 

• Advanced Studio/Competitor Training

• All tuition is paid through your home dance studio. If you received a tuition waiver or scholarship at one of our events or an affiliated event, your discount will be honored when you register through your studio.

​​​​Perception Dance Company Program

​

Perception Dance Company is a pre-professional concert dance program designed for dancers who are ready to take the next step in their training. The program bridges the gap between the competition and concert dance worlds, making it an ideal experience for dancers interested in pursuing collegiate dance programs or professional companies after high school.

​

Dancers get to rehearse at a set number of mandatory rehearsals and perform an original 8-10 minute concert dance work. The season culminates in a live and filmed performance at a venue in the greater Chicago-Midwest region.

Perception is intended for dedicated dancers who are committed to their training, thrive in a challenging environment, and are ready to grow as performers and artists.

The focus extends beyond technique, emphasizing artistry, musicality, collaboration, and the discipline required in the concert dance setting. It's an opportunity to experience dance in a new way while building skills that prepare dancers for the next chapter of their artistic journey.

Program Eligibility:

• Dancers 14+ or by instructor recommendation

• Advanced dance training required

• The program is invite-only from one of our or our affiliate events. 

• Dancers may submit a video for the invitation to the program:

• Video guidelines:

• Must be shared on a public YouTube link – dancer performing a solo dance between 2-3 minutes.
